- Note From The Band -
The Form is a group based in Durham, New Hampshire, exploring long-form improvisational storytelling through original songs written as a group, as well as the eternal songs with everlasting infectious groove. The Form finds a way to remain itself when blending sonic inspirations over the course of the 20th century. Ragtime, Blues and Jazz are an integral part of our foundation as musicians, as well as the innovations of artists from the 60s, like Cream, Joe Cocker, The Grateful Dead, the Beatles and Santana. You’ll discover the warmth of lyrically-focused 70s bands like Chicago and Billy Joel as well as the novelty of the 90s, aiming to expand the boundaries set from previous standards. In addition to progressive motifs of Phish to Ween, The Form submits an alternative paradigm. Our intention has always been to keep music full of life, creativity, and peace. We will continue to spread music as more than sound, but a living environment evolving like all things. The Form is for all to participate as we discover our likeness in self.
